Environmental Defense Fund’s mission is to preserve the natural systems on which all life depends. Guided by science and economics, EDF finds practical and lasting solutions to the most serious environmental problems. The thematic areas of work are related with climate, oceans, ecosystems and health. EDF counts with a group of experts in those areas plus energy, transportation, economics and business, among other areas. Even though their main field of work is based in the US territory with strong activities that tackle climate and energy goals, the EDF also has presence in Latin America and Caribbean Countries, in areas such as: forest conservation, fisheries restoration, coastal management, and marine ecosystem protection.
