A new FAO report assesses the environmental impact of the livestock sector

IDF welcomes a new report released by The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) "Tackling Climate Change through Livestock, a Global Assessment of Emissions and Mitigation Opportunities", an update to the 2006 report, "Livestock's Long Shadow". This report provides a broader view of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for all livestock sectors, including dairy. It will also guide the sustainable development of the sector through concrete mitigation recommendations.
