Earth Day Event: Urban Sustainability Symposium

The Symposium will highlight the progress that urban centers have made in becoming a Green City with an emphasis on Washington D.C and Latin America and the Caribbean region. Join the panelists to discuss how cities are moving towards improving the urban environment and quality of life for all its citizens and the challenges this brings in ensuring that all citizens have equal access to these services. The discussion aims to raise awareness among attendees regarding the important role major urban centers play in reducing the global impact on the environment and to encourage actions that they can take in their personal lives to help reduce that impact. Making a lucid connection between sustainable urban development and the benefits it can produce at the individual level. The Symposium will be broadcasted live to the Bank's twenty-six member country offices in Latin America and the Caribbean.
