VII LATIN AMERICAN AND CARIBBEAN ENERGY EFFICIENCY SEMINAR

The UNEP REGATTA initiative, together with Latin American Energy Organization and Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining of Uruguay, are organizing the VII Latin American and Caribbean Energy Efficiency Seminar on April, 27^th and 28^th, in Montevideo, Uruguay.

The overall objective of the seminar is to exchange the experience of countries in the generation of instruments to promote and implement energy efficiency projects, as well as existing funding mechanisms for energy efficiency projects in the region.

In the framework of the decisions taken at the COP 21, the countries of the region have taken responsibility for the development of energy efficiency measures in all sectors. Thus, energy efficiency is consolidated as cross- cutting pillar for sustainable energy development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
